PortlandCruz is the story of five guys biking across America in the summer of 2012. We are all cycling enthusiasts who had the opportunity to take time off this summer to pursue this adventure. While planning for our journey we connected with
Velo Cruz, a community cycling group based in Santa Cruz, and we began to think about how we could do more than just have an adventure this summer. Adventure is certainly one of our goals, but we also want to connect with people along our ride to promote cycling and to share our stories. In part this comes from the personal connections that we make with people along the way, but we also hope that we can reach a larger audience by sharing our stories online.
This blog is one way that we are trying to tell our story. We also have been sharing shorter snippets as we travel on our
public Facebook page that anyone can access and we are sharing videos on our
YouTube page.
